The Problem We Solve
As the semiconductor industry pushes toward 2nm nodes and beyond, EUV lithography at 13.5nm has become the backbone of advanced chipmaking. Every material, sensor, filter, and coating that enters the EUV environment must be tested under real actinic conditions.
But access to real EUV light for testing is nearly impossible. The handful of facilities that can do this work are government-run labs with months-long wait times, consortium-only access, or no commercial availability at all. There is effectively no independent, fast-turnaround option anywhere in the world.
The result: a $377M addressable market of companies with mandatory testing needs and nowhere to go.
Our Approach
Actinic Labs is built around the Energetiq EQ-10, a pulsed discharge-produced plasma source delivering up to 20W of in-band EUV at 13.5nm. This gives us industry-relevant testing conditions that replicate what materials actually experience inside a lithography scanner.
Our model is simple: pay-per-test with a target turnaround of 48 hours. No consortium fees. No membership requirements. No public disclosure of your data. Just fast, confidential, commercially available EUV metrology.

Meet the Founder
Jezdan Gomez
Founder
Jezdan is a Senior Applications Engineer at Opto Diode Corp (an ITW company), where he works at the intersection of photonics, semiconductor manufacturing, and customer-facing technical sales. His day-to-day involves designing custom photodetectors for EUV lithography driving new product development across the EUV, UV, visible, and infrared spectrum.
This deep domain expertise in EUV detector physics, combined with direct relationships across the semiconductor supply chain, positions him uniquely to build Actinic Labs into the industry’s go-to independent testing facility.
